Midyetts Report
December 20, 2006
It's Christmas party time in Australia , too. We had our party in our Caravan [trailer] and Cabin Park last night. It was on the lawn to the front and side of our cabin.
Two men caught my attention: Thompson, an atheist, who lives next door, and Bill, an unemployed divorcee, who lives just a stone's throw away. He is learning computers because he can no longer do what he was formerly employed to do.
Another party is on Monday. Sarah sings in that choir. We pray for guests from here, all of whom have been invited.
We used to send out financial reports. We will resume that procedure soon.
Financial testings have led to physical testings the past two months. My doctor here suggests Lipitor and Asasantin SR. These drugs will be in conjunction with natural supplements I'm sending for in the States. No conflict, the doctor says. And Sarah is on brain fuel deficiency drug. But we move on.
The Lord has not told me to retire. He may. Living in Australia would be more conducive to retirement than in America . I am both American and Australian—have been since I was here for nine months during World War II. My ministry to others started on the streets of Melbourne .
Both Sarah and I came to this beautiful land in order to have less air travel to India , not particularly for the beauty of this place. We need neighbors who will keep an eye on our new home when the door again opens to India , and this gated community meets that requirement.
Both Sarah and I have caring ministries, and we will just continue as the Lord enables.
The Lord has used churches, friends and family members to keep us serving as He desires. My daughter here in Bunbury is a jewel in the way she cares for us. And we thank each of you for your contribution to the ongoing of our ministry. The policeman's ministry in the email below is similar to our type of ministry.
May each of us also share God's Word clearly--powerfully, wherever we are this coming year.
And thanks again for helping us launch out anew in strength the Lord gives.
Yours faithfully,
J. T. and Sarah
