Midyetts Report

December 24, 2005

Dear Prayer Partners,

Today, more than 20 people from Liberty University were at the dinner table in Kota. Some come periodically to see what God is doing here. We are here with a different purpose.

Yesterday we had a Bible teacher training seminar for teachers and those who will become teachers here. In spite of our having to work until seminar time to finalize preparations, several participants expressed their appreciation, and one asked for all we did on CD.

The big news today is that beginning in March, the life of Christ from the book of Mark, along with a New Testament or a Bible, will be used in Moral Science or Moral Education classes throughout India, with Kota as the distributing center. Mark is a well-developed course we started in Australia years ago. Two-thirds of it is completed, and one-third is yet for us to update. In India, this one-year course will be spread out over two years. We are re-mapping the entire curriculum for schools here.

This challenge, my friends, is far bigger than our highest dreams. Our prerequisite for using these lessons is completing our Bible teacher training course.

Funds from us for printing training materials fall far short of our present potential, as do those of Hopegivers International for printing Mark for Fourth and Fifth graders. And yet we must press forward with these two printing projects with available funds. This is just the first step toward enabling students to study the entire Bible in graded lessons by the time they finish High School.

You who are linked with us have helped me make my most unique present to my wife ever!

Pray that from Kota, we will be able to press on, loaded with all we need, to implement this curriculum and teacher training program in Hyderabad and other places where leaders have expressed an interest in our coming.

Our stay in Kota costs $36 per day, and is extended to 29 days to complete what is necessary. When we thought it would be only 28 days, Douglas Bosler of International Teachers' Association said ITA would match up to 14 days if others pay an equal amount. Once we leave Kota, we should be able to bear the cost of our upkeep.

We thank you again for what you did to help us get here, and for giving us this terrific start this month.

Your extended arms in Gospel work,

J. T. and Sarah
